After 50 years of restorations along comes this wonderful oval cast-iron airtight parlor stove.
Manufactured by Mahood & Co in Philadelphia in 1896.
This is a rare piece of functional art that will hold a fire 6-8 hours maintain coals, up to 12 hours. Truly a beautiful piece of artwork with efficiency built into it. The castings on the sides are extraordinary. This has footrails on the side of the stove. Nickel finial and nickel front face plate. Removable cook lid. The 6” stove pipe comes off the back of it.
