With the front cast iron door securely in place, the Bowdoin Franklin stove resembles a parlor stove – and heats as efficiently as a parlor stove. The draft control located on the base regulates the heat output allowing for this stove to keep a room cozy for a couple of hours. Enjoy the glow of the fire from the two mica windows the front door; or a full view of the fire can be enjoyed by removing the front door. Lovely filigree decorates the stove and two brassettes on the top, in front of the cook lid, adds a touch of sparkle. The Bowdoin Franklin is a lovely combination of a heating stove and fireplace.
