The nearly four feet tall Station Agent stove features dazzling nickeling, which is a unique feature on a potbelly stove. There are three decorative nickel legs and a gorgeous nickel emblem located above the wood loading door. A smooth nickel skirt encircles the stove, providing a safety shield from the hot stove. Primary and secondary draft controls regulate the heat output and this reliable heater can heat a good-sized area all night long. A large cooklid rests on top of the antique stove. The Station Agent beautifully combines the refined decorative detailing often found on other stove styles with the vintage and historic charm of a potbelly stove.

The Station Agent was manufactured for the railroad companies in order to heat the railroad stations and offices. There were a number manufacturers who made identical stoves. They were sold through hardware stores and stove dealers. This potbelly stoves was designed to burn both wood. It is built of solid cast-iron and it is equipped with what is called a mushroom top with a 12inch diameter lid. The stove includes shaker grates below. This is a very powerful heater and designed the largest of areas for long period of time.
