Our converted ranges will satisfy the demands of the most discriminating cook while giving enduring expression to the traditions of hearth and home.
Converting an antique cooking range to gas, electric, or a combination of both offers an easy and efficient source for cooking while maintaining the charm of an American icon and the enchantment of a historic treasure. Electric and/or gas conversions are available for all antique cooking ranges.
The burners, broiler and oven can easily be converted to either gas or electric or a combination of both. By offering a combination of fuel sources any range can be modified to fit your cooking needs.
All parts are AGA and UL approved and the conversion complies with all local heating codes. Electric and/or gas conversions are available for all antique kitchen ranges.
Most stoves cost $6850.00 - $7850.00 with a standard conversion (4 burners and oven with stainless steel interior). Conversions can be customized with additional burners, griddles and a speckleware interior on the ovens)

A few of the easy and efficient features of a converted antique cooking range include:
- full thermostat based temperature regulation
- pilot controlled knobs
- even temperature and even burn
- oven light and adjustable oven racks
Consider this range of benefits, features and equipment...
All surfaces can be cleaned and maintained as you would any stove appliance.
The tops, sides and the oven doors of our stoves are fully insulated for safety. They maybe pushed up to an adjacent wall for a zero-clearance installation.
Our conversions comply with all state and local codes and are engineered for installation by your local appliance technician. All parts used are UL and/or AGA (American gas Association) approved. These approvals protect your safety and are required by code.
We use "Robertshaw" parts for oven controls, pilots, safeties, electric elements and electric switches because they are one of the oldest and most widely distributed brands and we have found them over the years to be the most reliable available.
All parts used can be obtained through local suppliers and are easily maintained by your local appliance technician.
We furnish a one-year guarantee on all parts and labor for all our work and expect our stoves to last for generations to come.
Here's What our Customers Say
Dear Good Time Stove Co.,
Since it was hooked up on Tuesday the [Ideal Stewart] stove has produced one 20-pound roast beef and all the fixings, (Christmas dinner for 20!) and approximately twelve full meals for family and guest ranging from 5 to 9 each meal, to say nothing of the hundreds of lunches, breakfasts and snacks these teenagers eat constantly when they are on vacation! New Years Day we cooked two pounds of bacon, 12 sausages, two dozen eggs and one loaf of bread for our kids and their friends - what a way to start the New Year!
The stove works beautifully, the oven is a dream, and we couldn't be happier. I often think of the story you told me that day in your shop about the man who ran the local gas station buying the stove and how he never regretted spending the money - I feel like him. It is the crown jewel in this house project of ours that has taken two long years of time, money and sweat equity (emphasis on the sweat!). I know we debated long and hard the cost - and it was worth every penny. I just like to sit and admire the stove it is so beautiful. The fact that it is so functional makes it a wonder! thank you for your patience with us, your time, effort and the craftsmanship that you and yours have put into this stove. We are proud to own it, but prouder still of the nice people and contacts that came with it.

Dear Good Time Stove Co.,
After almost 3 years, the stove still functions perfectly! The best of all is that my new wife who is a gourmet cook states that it is the most even cooking oven she has ever used...whew!....I was worried, as I bought it on the aesthetic qualities only!
